Stoneham resident Mary Eustace is taking a stab at breast cancer.

The 56-year-old will be competing in the New England Fencing Alliance’s second annual Fence against Breast Cancer competitions, where women ages 30 and older will grab their swords and battle for a good cause. ARLINGTON, MASS. –
Salem YMCA Fencing Instructor Michael Tarascio is taking a stab against breast cancer, along with two of his local fencing students, Rachel and Alex Mold. They are organizing the New England Fencing Alliance’s second annual Fence Against Breast Cancer fencing competition at the Ottoson Middle School in Arlington on Oct. 4 and Nov. 15, 2008. This is a unique forum for adult women to fence competitively, develop camaraderie with their peers, and to support the work of the American Cancer Society in its efforts to find a cure for breast cancer.
