Still, still has the skill

When Sally Still failed to make the US Olympic fencing team back in 1988, she figured that was the end of her competitive career. In fact, she put her “epee” away to concentrate on law school. Aside from competing in the 1994 Olympic Festival, she did not touch her weapon for more than a decade.

Woman takes sword from storage, returns to competitive fencing

When Sally Still stopped competing in fencing after nearly two decades, she was convinced that her days in the sport were over.

For 10 years, Still’s fencing gear sat tucked away in storage, serving only as a reminder as her days as a top competitor.
