As mentioned before, the Fencing World Championships are being held in St. Petersburg, Russia. Elena Netchaeva of Russia took the gold in Women’s Sabre, With Peter Joppich of Germany taking the Men’s foil, and Britta Heidemann (also of Germany) taking the gold in Women’s Épée.
